My Story
Hi, My name is Alexa Nunez.. I am a self taught at home baker!
When I was younger, I loved watching baking shows on TLC or Food Network. I loved seeing how something amazing can be created by simple ingredients. I always believed it was just a silly dream to be a baker like Buddy Valastro from Cake Boss.
But the idea of being a pastry chef stuck to me, I began to pretend I was a baker and I started to decorate my snacks at school or boxed cakes from home. The more I would play around, the more I began to believe that my dream wasn’t just a silly dream. At age 13 I started watching youtube videos, “how to bake a cake from scratch” “how to decorate a cake”, I went through the whole trial and error process and I admit there was a point where I was so close to give it all up and believed it wasn’t meant for me. But a piece of me had hope, and I’m so glad I never gave up. After graduating High School in 2018 I decided to go all in and make this hobby a full time career.
Fast forward, with the support of my family and my amazing clients who believed in me from the start, Alexa's Pastries is now over 10 years old! I've had the most beautiful opportunity to be a part of my clients biggest milestones, from their wedding day to their baby shower and their kids birthdays. My clients have also watch me grow from a 13 year old, to a graduate, becoming engaged, getting married and now becoming a mommy. Dreams truly do come true if we have the courage to pursue them (:
More About Me
I graduated from Heath High-School in 2018. Completed one year of Pastry Arts School after graduation. I was a 3rd year advanced culinary arts student in High School. I am Food Safe and Food Handler Certified.

I was in ProStart which is a competition for high school students who plan to continue with culinary arts after they graduate. I was in charge of making the dessert for my team. My team received 2nd place at regionals, 1st at state and 3rd place out of all 50 states, nationals! Blue Ribbon News
